• Organic
zinc-rich primer

EPICON
ZINC RICH PRIMER B-2
This is a shop primer made up from
epoxy resin and zinc powder, which
the anti- corrosive effect surpasses
that of the long exposure etching primer.
As zinc has a larger ionization tendency
than iron, zinc dissolves before iron
dissolves and rusts, therefore it can
protect iron.

GALBON
SP
A self-curing alcohol soluble inorganic
zinc-rich primer with excellent heat
resistance and anti-corrosive performance,
used as inorganic shop primer under
various specifications of government
corporations. It shows good adhesion
to steel sheet, and inorganic zinc
paint, epoxy resin paint or tar epoxy
resin paint are suitable for top coatings.

By special techniques, the content
of zinc in this product has been reduced
to less than that of conventional inorganic
shop primers and CERABOND 2000 excels
in heat resistance, anti-white rusting
and welding properties.

build organic zinc-rich paint

EPICONZINC
HB-2
This is a coating that dries in ambient
temperature, made from epoxy resin
mixed with highly-concentrated zinc
powder. Excellent anti-corrosive performance.
Film of 75?m thick can be obtained
by one coating. It shows good adhesive
strength to steel sheet and good compatibility
to a variety of top coatings.

GALBON
S-HB
A self curing type of alcohol soluble
inorganic zinc-rich paint with good
airless spraying operability, which
can obtain a 75?m thick film by one
coating. In combination with organic
paints, GALBON S-HB is specified as
a long-lasting heavy duty paint and
widely used for the exterior painting
of tanks, water gates, plants or marine
or offshore structures. It also provides
excellent heat resistance up to 400?C.

• Alkyd
resin paint

EVAMARINE
BR
Alkyd resin is a fatty acid modified
condensate of phthalic anhydride and
polyhydric alcohol. There are long
oil, medium oil and short oil types
available. Oil is contained in large
amounts for the long oil type and small
amounts for the short oil type.
As alkyd resin paint contains resin
varnish with phthalic acid as the main
component it is sometimes called phthalic
acid resin paint. Alkyd resin is the
most widely used resin in the paint
industry, just because of its excellent
weather resistance and better cost
efficiency.
These alkyd resin paints are used for
steel frames, exterior tank surface,
pipes or general structural buildings.
With excellent brush coating performance,
EVAMARINE BR is widely used for painting
on-site.

EVARMARINE
F: Phenol resin type
EPICON F: Epoxy resin type
This is a paint containing micaceous
iron oxide and best suited for long
lasting heavy duty undercoats. Owing
to its scale-like surface structure, this
product provides a water migration
route to deter rusting and prevents
the degradation of undercoat by reflecting
the incoming light.
Mixed with MIO, the roughe surface
can offer better adhesion to top coating,
thereby helping to extend intervals
between re-coating. This paint is recommended
if a longer time is required between
painting at a manufacturing plant and
use at a site, or if longer intervals
between re-coating are expected. EVARMARINE
F is painted on oil-based anti-rusting
paints, then followed by chlorinated
rubber paint to obtain long-term anti-fouling
properties.
The high build, organic system zinc-rich
paints, epoxy anti rusting paints,
etc. are used as undercoating of EPICON
F, and EPICON F is best suited as an
undercoat when the painted surface
is expected to be left unattended longer
than the specified maximum interval
between coats. Epoxy resin top coatings
or urethane resin top coatings are
used for top coating.

EPICONPRIMER
CL (anti rusting)
Epoxy resin paint shows very good water
and chemical resistance, adhesive strength
and, as it is a high performance paint
having comparatively superior physical
properties such as abrasion resistance
and impact strength to other resin
paints, it plays an important role
in the heavy duty paint field.
In case of outdoor exposure, it tends
to have a chalking phenomena and therefore
if better weather resistance is required,
urethane resin top coating is recommended.

UNIMARINE
No.300: Polyurethane resin type
In the past urethane resin paint was
suitable for room interior coating
but showed defects of yellowing by
weathering. The development of coating
technology, however, made it the most
weather resistant paint while at the
same time offering better gloss retention
and abrasion resistance. By matching
with epoxy resin paints, it can extend
intervals between re-coating and now
takes a central position among the
many heavy duty paints.
UNIMARINE No.300 is a polyurethane
resin top coating and with an especially
excellent gloss retention it is painted
on epoxy resin coatings.

resin paint

FLUOREX
(Phsically drying type)
The UV resistance performance of fluorocarbon
resin is ranked top among paint resins
currently in use, but its application
was limited due to its requirement
for high temperature baking and drying.
As an isocyanate cross linked fluorocarbon
resin paint that dries at ambient temperature
was developed recently, it is drawing
attention as a long lasting, durable
ultra high performance paint owing
to its excellent weather resistance,
chemical resistance and fouling resistance.

SILICALAC
No.100: Acryl silicone resin top
coating
SILICALAC No.100 is a cost-saving,
high weather resistant paint and shows
excellent adhesion to inorganic substrate,
and the weather resistance, comparable
to fluorocarbon resin, is far more
economical owing to its chemical structure.

epoxy resin paint

UNIVAN
NT
Modified epoxy resin paint is the modified
resin paint by substituting
part of its epoxy resin with other
resins, and it improves adhesion and
anti-corrosive properties of the substrate
that can not prevent corrosion completely.
If it is dry enough, it is painted
on top of phthalic acid resin paints
or chlorinated rubber paints.

GALVANITE
No.400 PRIMER: Epoxy resin type
GALVANITE No.400 PRIMER provides especially
good adhesion to plated zinc surfaces
and a variety of conventional top coatings
can be applied. Zinc is an amphoteric
metal, soluble in both acid and alkali,
and characteristically rapidly loses
its activity at pH10. Thus, by combining
certain chemical substances capable
of maintaining coated surfaces at pH10
and specialty epoxy resin, with good
adhesion and stable in a pH10 alkali
solution, this epoch-making paint is
the first choice for zinc plating surfaces,
with adhesion better than anything
seen in the past.
