TECHNOLOGICAL CAPABILITY
Performance improvements and environmental regulatory compliance for ocean-going vessels
Novel antifoulings that offer performance improvements and environmental regulatory compliance for ocean-going vessels
Antifoulings play an essential role in addressing international environmental issues, such as reducing emissions of greenhouse gases, and preventing the translocation of invasive marine species.

Service/Product overview
As climate change increases the activity of marine organisms and the risk of fouling, SEAFLO NEO M1 PLUS combines cuprous oxide with new biocides in an antifouling solution that provides sustained antifouling performance for ocean-going vessels.
SEAFLO NEO M1 PLUS reduces the risk of fouling during outfitting of new vessels under static conditions, and also during periods of low activity and long-term docking of in-service vessels. Notably, among antifoulants for ocean-going vessels, SEAFLO NEO M1 PLUS offers best-in-class protection against barnacles.

Long-lasting antifouling performance
A SEAFLO NEO M1 PLUS prototype was applied to a flat area on various vessel hulls. The antifouling effects after an extended period in service are shown below.
SEAFLO NEO M1 PLUS provided effective, long-lasting antifouling performance even after extended operation. This antifouling performance is also expected to improve fuel efficiency when combined with smooth coating technology.
