External Evaluation and Certification
S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index
We have been selected as a constituent of the S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index. Using TOPIX, a representative stock price index indicative of market trends in Japan, as the underlying index, the index determines the weighting of constituent stocks based on the status of environmental information disclosure and the level of carbon efficiency (carbon emissions per unit of revenue).
The index has been selected as an ESG index by the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF).
CDP
CDP is a UK-based international environmental NGO that, at the request of institutional investors and purchaser corporations around the world, asks companies to answer questionnaires regarding their environmental activities and scores them based on their responses.
In the fiscal 2023 survey conducted by CDP, we obtained a score of B (management level) in the climate change field.
Biomass Mark Certification
In December 2021, we launched the AULEX BIO Series of UV-curable wood floor coatings designed for factory application.
The AULEX BIO Series coatings are made from plant-based materials with a biomass ratio of 25%. These products have obtained the Biomass Mark certification, which is granted to eco-friendly products that meet the quality and other related regulations, standards, and specifications set forth by the Japan Organics Recycling Association (JORA).
The biomass materials used in the AULEX BIO Series are derived from plants, which fix carbon dioxide in the atmosphere through photosynthesis. Further, since these paints are solvent free, they are eco-friendly and can be used without environmental concerns.
